The Pocahontas County Sheriff's Office Communications Center is dedicated to serving as the vital and unseen link between the citizens and the public safety organizations in Pocahontas County. The dispatchers provide a support role in the critical delivery of all law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services within the county. The dispatchers strive to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Pocahontas County by being an answering point and offering a resolution to the public safety issues of the people. The Communications Center is staffed by seven dispatchers that work revolving shifts covering 24 hours a day and their duties involve a great deal of responsibility and liability.
